link - link - link (beauty of blogosphere)

I've been regularly reading Brian Heasley's blog since may 2007,
and enjoy also his fine way of finding every now and then
cutting edge pieces from elsewhere in blogosphere, like
this "Refreshing insights on Missional church from Dan Kimball"
article posted on his blog...

So, check this must read:

word for today.

When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge
crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who
were apprenticed to him, the committed,
climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place,
he sat down and taught his climbing companions.
This is what he said:
"You're blessed when you're at the end
of your rope. With less of you there is
more of God and his rule.
"You're blessed when you feel you've
lost what is most dear to you.
Only then can you be embraced
by the One most dear to you.
"You're blessed when you're content with
just who you are—no more, no less.
That's the moment you find yourselves
proud owners of everything that
can't be bought.
"You're blessed when you've worked
up a good appetite for God. He's food
and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat.
"You're blessed when you care. At the moment
of being 'care-full,' you find yourselves cared for.
"You're blessed when you get your inside
world—your mind and heart—put right.
Then you can see God in the outside world.
"You're blessed when you can show
people how to cooperate instead of
compete or fight. That's when you discover
who you really are, and your place in God's family.
"You're blessed when your commitment
to God provokes persecution.
The persecution drives you even
deeper into God's kingdom.
"Not only that—count yourselves blessed
every time people put you down or throw
you out or speak lies about you to
discredit me. What it means is that the truth
is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable.
You can be glad when that happens
—give a cheer, even!—
for though they don't like it, I do!
And all heaven applauds.
And know that you are in good company.
My prophets and witnesses have always
gotten into this kind of trouble.”

but i see the number of page hits
keeps growing, not sure why and by who :)

And i recently added my blog address

another daylight.

Sorry guys for lack of blogging recently,
i haven't been so clear on so many things lately
and looks like i'm not so good with
processing thoughts by writing.
And my macbook doesn't seem to support blogspot
too well for some random reason.

Greetings from all over the country, last week i traveled
approx. 3000 kilometres, first from south to north of
Finland and then back south and then from east to west
and back to south-east again.
Lapland is definitely one of my favorite parts of Finland,
specially in winter, the amount of snow and peace
and winter sports all rolled in to one wonderful
holiday experience which feels like dream,
not least because of lack of sleep on the road.

Random thought on communal living from this morning...
- who ever leaves the house first gets to were the
warmest winter jacket, as it is coldest early in the morning.
When living together with people you learn so much
about yourself. And i think also that true love in
living together is to let those who can't smile
in early morning hours be grumpy and those who need
their morning coffee before they can't think reasonably
...well, why don't you make the coffee for them?

They said in the radio today that core idea of christianity is
love. I disagree, i think core of christianity is Christ himself.
What is love if it's apart from God?
