Day 4. Style 31. Post a pic of you in your favorite outfit.

Day 4 on Project 31 was to Post a pic of you in your favorite outfit.
I didn't have a decent photo of my current favorite outfit, so I posted
instead a collection of photos that explain a little of my style and
show quite few of my current favorite items of clothing.
You will find the photos here (or click the title under the top banner)

I'd like to think that my style is quite simple but versatile, friends give
sometimes me a feedback of looking glamorous which is funny because
I think I'm mostly practical. But may it be a marriage of glamour and practical.
I love clothes that have unique details, have feminine edge but are comfortable
and compliment my mood and feeling and personality.
As a good Finn I've got a selection of scarfs. Many of my outfit photos
seem to have borrowed items. I am clothed by my family and community.
Best accessories also seem to be beautiful friends :D
My favorite outfit would also exactly be that, a collection of items
that work together and form an outfit that reflects my mood, myself,
show my character, don't show too much, and fit to the occasion.
Somehow I love these lines from the vision poem by Pete Greig:
"...They are incredibly cool, dangerously attractive, on the inside
On the outside they hardly care
They wear costumes to communicate, and to celebrate
But never to hide..."

Only thing here is that sometimes I do dress to hide. It's a solemn defence mechanism.
Forgive me. Just wait and watch and see.

Few random thoughts that flowed from my mind today:
born a royalty without a land to rule/
nomad flying with the wind rooted in you/
discoveries of true garden of delight/
depth of never-ending/
between scars there was a lot of soft skin/
between the lines a lot of silence/
knowing and still being there/
love supreme

Day 3. Who is someone you know who inspires beauty?

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." - This is what I would call beauty.

I've been tremendously blessed with some amazing friends that I call my brothers. Most of them are like what I think David's army must have been.
Awesome, reckless, strategic, beautiful, fearless, gentle, loving and caring.
Dangerous but kind. They have often rescued me from many kinds of troubles and lifted me up when I've been down low. They inspire me to become more beautiful, to learn to love them unconditionally, to support them to be godly warrior men and to serve them and others.
Time spent with them inspires
me to be more feminine,
their presence and kind words liberates me to be
more me, their taking care of me let's me to be a princess
and just to be and smile.

Often it is the little things they say that encourage and bless my soul,
and make me feel much more beautiful and then shine it out.
Like here is one quote: "Love how Gods creation and your creativity blends together.
Awesome to see the result of this afternoon :) You look good bE!" How inspiring!

Day 1. What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty.

Awhile ago a friend told me, after searching for words for a moment
that I looked what they called "radiantly satisfied"
that evening. I think that is one of the best compliments I have received for
some time. That is what beauty for me often is, when beauty speaks to me most.
It's most powerful when you can't quite describe it in words, when you can't quite put
your finger on it, but it is something that momentarily captures and captivates,
makes you feel that everything is going to be well, breathtaking but
also very mundane and yet radiant, contagious.
Beauty can be physical, it can be spiritual, it can be in a connection between
two things, two people, two elements. Beauty is an extra step that a friend
walked to encourage you, a wild leap of faith, courage that someone showed
in defending others and standing against injustice, beauty can be words that
make you cry when they sink in to your heart, smile from a stranger or chords played with skill.

Beauty changes, reflects, glows, shimmers and shines, matures and is born again.
Beauty forgives plenty. Beauty laughs with things not for them.
Authentic beauty is true and raw and doesn't seek for it's own glory but
shines on and loves those around it. Gentle beauty is loving and caring.
Authentic beauty is wild, inviting and calling, it calls to seek it's mysteries.

My brother Jack used a quote which says that women are the most beautiful
when they know they are loved.
Although sometimes we hide in to beauty as a defence,
I think it is still true.

  "Is beauty a perspective
merely how we look at things
or a matter defined by your eyes
in a figure, posture or position
or is it when we are blind
is it safe or tamed or commanded
let out to please or tease
a power, a gift or a curse
painfully compared"
