woke up in a sound of a love song/
after a night of strangest dreams/
today is the way to go forward/
walk in mercies renewed/
sing along/
sing along sing along/
it makes me smile inside/
and to know
everything is going to turn out just fine/
you hear beats and tunes of places where we haven't yet been /
that is just intriguing/
i want to dance to that tune/
say that we can make it/
sing along sing along/
it makes me smile inside/
and to know
everything is going to turn out just fine/
i need you to sing out aloud so i know how our voices sound/
and i can only follow what i hear/
so i skip along to the invisible beat/
and sing along sing along
sing along sing along/
it makes me smile inside/
and to know
everything is going to turn out just fine/

"I see a generation,..."
Two brilliant, thought-provoking articles I read today,
another sharp one from Jyrki Kiiskinen on HS
"Epämuodostuneesta lapsesta"
"Entä mitä nykynuoret puuhaavat? En tiedä. He varmaan istuvat luentosaleissa opiskelemassa, voidakseen paremmin palvella isänmaataan. Millaisia elämää suurempia ihanteita heillä on? Sitä en uskalla edes kuvitella."
"So what do young ones of this generation do? I don't know. They probably sit in lecture halls studying, how to serve better they homeland. What kind of higher ideals they have, ones greater than life? I don't even dare to think about."
and
Study: Young Americans less religious than their parents
"We're seeing among young people that there are ways of practicing faith and being religious outside of belonging to a religious organization or attending services."
What do you think?

who's there?

NTS: ...to open your eyes and then be living the dream...
When everything true points to God and is of God,
there is something of God in everything that is true.
Read fascinating article from Sunday times this morning,
and I found myself thinking: how can I use this in prayer room design,
to help people to come closer to God, to facilitate intimate encounters with the Lord,
to lead them in to discovery of the Truth, to create a space for worship?

"First Titanic, now Avatar: how does James Cameron do it?"
Some of my favorite points:
"But it is our dream, too, in which, as one can in dreams, we can fly, find love beyond all understanding, but also have to confront our deepest fears and face down our most terrifying demons."
“But, as always in a Cameron film, the most interesting roles in Avatar belong to the women. — From Sarah Connor to Ripley to Rose, Cameron’s women can kiss you or kick your ass.”
“If they were in a film that didn’t take place in such an incredibly lush, technologically jaw-dropping universe, we would have paid them absolutely no heed whatsoever. Can you imagine a low-budget live-action film with the script of Avatar?"
“Audiences should feel like they’ve been somewhere, that they’ve had an experience outside of their day-to-day life, outside of this world, maybe outside of their body,” he says, adding that he wanted Avatar to be “a visual journey, a physical journey, in the sense that you feel like you’ve actually climbed that mountain, and an emotional journey. Ultimately, and most importantly, an emotional journey”.
...few tozerisms to the table...
"To be right with God has often meant to be in trouble with men."
Man the Dwelling Place of God, 114.
"God dwells in eternity but time dwells in God. He has already lived all our tomorrows as He has lived all our yesterdays."
The Knowledge of the Holy, 45.
"We have become so engrossed in the work of the Lord that we have forgotten the Lord of the work."
The Banner, Dec. 4, 70, p. 2
"If God is the Supreme good then our highest blessedness on earth must lie in knowing Him as perfectly as possible."
That Incredible Christian, 65

I'm working on a prayer room decorating for the weekend, my desire with prayer rooms always is to bring to practical, to life to seen world something I'm sensing or thinking that God is saying. It is often a bit harder than what it first sounds or looks like.
This time, the theme is students. Obvious, right? Well for the record, here my trail of thought...
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it."
- John 1:1-5
WORD = TRUTH = JESUS
"I am the way and the truth and the life." - Jesus (John 14:6)
Everything true comes from God. Everything true is of God.
Our greatest achievements are just reaching out towards God.
Engage your best for God, approach to Him.
Find truth - Find God.
Studying - learning - understanding - developing self : all godly things.
(-> read Proverbs 8 "Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?")
"The primary meaning of logos is: something said; by implication a subject, topic of discourse, or reasoning. Secondary meanings such as logic, reasoning, etc. derive from the fact that if one is capable of legein (λέγειν; infinitive of legō), i.e. speech, then intelligence and reason are assumed."
Q's:
- how to have more masculine approach on prayer room decorating?

word for today
"...and provide for those who grieve in FINLAND —
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor."
Isa 61:3
