[got all theological] Part I

Believing is having faith in something.
Having faith to something is to trust in their ways.
Trusting someones ways leads to following them.
To follow is to have your living, walking and thinking
guided by something.
Who do you follow?
I try to follow Jesus.
"All of us make decisions every day about
what is important, how to treat people, and what to do
do with our lives." - R.Bell, Velvet Elvis, p.19

Following Jesus to me is
about believing that forgiving matters,
believing in sacrificial love,
believing in generosity,
believing in pursuing peace,
believing in healing of hearts, minds and bodies.
It is not about making converts
but discipling (the nations!) -
teaching others what Jesus taught.
So every time you help someone to understand something
new about kingdom of God and God and ways Jesus spoke of,
to get to know about who Jesus is, it is
to be obedient to what Jesus told us to do.
Without control or manipulation or blackmail.
What is kingdom of God then?

Simply:
It is where we tell good news to the poor,
the broken hearts are get bind up,
where the prisoners are released from darkness,
those who mourn get comfort,
those who grieve are being provided for,
where ancient ruins are restored
and destroyed cities are rebuilt...
Kingdom of heaven belongs to those of poor in spirit,
there meek will inherit the earth,
those who hunger for justice are filled.

"So the way of Jesus is not about religion: it's about reality.
It is about lining yourself up with how things really are."
- R.B. Velvet Elvis, p. 21
