[got all theological] Part II

So maybe salvation is more than just having faith in Jesus
being Lord and dying for you on a cross, (though that is the
very point where it begins, and nothing can reduce that
and we probably hardly even understand the meaning and
cost of that) but maybe it is also about
all things God:
He makes all things new.
love. joy. peace. grace. mercy.
forgiveness. justice. generosity.
anything real and pure and true
and what makes relationship.
Then heaven is more than just about us getting away from here,
to somewhere better, it is kingdom of God invading earth.

I think everything true, everything beautiful, everything good,
authentic and sacrificial love,
all that comes from God and from God alone,
even if that person that it comes through from
doesn't know or believe in him.
There is no goodness apart from God.
Therefore, I don't know if there is such a physical place
(my theological understanding is not good enough)
as hell, or if people get there,
but I know that separation from God
is hell itself. It's when hope, trust, love,
dignity, faith, healing, beauty and forgiveness
would be absent, stripped away.

We don't carve or sculpt images of God and bow them.
He carved us as his image, and we can bow to him.
Be a living sacrifice. Live like it matters.
Be a temple of his presence.

Give others opportunity to see what you see.
Fall in love with God, and be in love with him,
talk about him and the things you love about him.

Sabbath shalom.
