Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake
of your steadfast love and your faithfulness. Psalm 115:1

Those who speak on their own seek their own glory; but the one who seeks
the glory of him who sent him is true, and there is nothing false in
him. John 7:18

Precious Lord, we come before you so often telling you what we need. We
forget that you know our needs and our desires before we ask. Enter our
hearts now that we may listen. Help us set aside our own desires of
glory and fame. As we empty ourselves to receive your words, we pray for
the courage to glorify your name and spread the good news of your
abiding love. Amen.
